We are located near Granada, Colorado the oldest town in Prowers County. Granada is located
on U.S. Highway 50 fifteen miles east of Lamar, Colorado and fifteen miles west of the Kansas
state line. The area is rich in historic sites and attractions. See Area Attractions page for links.
Thousands of cattle were shipped by railroad from Old Granada by Fred Harvey, owner of the
Harvey House Restaurants located along the Santa Fe Trail, and the new Goodnight Cattle
Company, who trailed their cattle from Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
These historic sites and trails are fun and exciting to visit.
